Spit-Roasted Pineapple Gin

The latest gin from the Boutique-y Gin Company and they’ve used one of their favourite ingredients… pineapple!

Pineapple gin was a hugely popular beverage in the 1920’s but has long since been forgotten, until now.

That Boutique-y Gin Company roast whole pineapples on a spit with Demerara sugar until a beautiful caramelisation occurs. The final pineapples are then combined with gin! On the nose, it is reminiscent of the inside of a pineapple fritter, juicy, zesty and caramel.

The flavour is a mix of sweet and sour pineapple with rich and sweet caramel emerging. The finish is a lingering sweet pineapple and crisp gin freshness.
