Barra Gin showcases a perfect balance of floral and herbal on the nose, leading to juniper, citrus and dulcet carrageen rolling across the tongue like mighty Atlantic surf breaking on Barra shores. Carrageen is a small perennial algae that grows best in water that is between the low tide mark and 30 feet of depth. The plants thrive in water ranging between 5 and 15 degrees Celsius. Carrageen is a super food, so that might make the gin a super gin, which it is, too!
Refreshing and clean, with a long, gratifyingly warm spice finish that opens out like the vast vista surrounding our beautifully remote home.
Atlas owners were the first to launch this gin in Manchester and we were one of the first bars outside Scotland to stock this.
A beautiful gin from the glorious Outer Hebrides.
