Description

In the 1800’s, there was pretty much a gin distillery on every corner in the City of London.

The gin boom, back then, was supported by the easy accessibility to botanicals from around the world that the River Thames provided.

When the gin boom ended, the city ended up without one distillery, for over 200 years!

That is until the City of London Distillery, opened its’ doors in 2012.

The distillery is located in Jonathan Clark’s bar, in Bride Lane.

Needless to say, it was only right that a London Dry Gin, be the first gin produced.

Designed by expert Master Distiller, Tom Nichol, this dry gin combines the subtle flavours of juniper, coriander, angelica root, liquorice, sweet orange, lemons and pink grapefruit to deliver a complex gin that balances quality and flavour.

You will also note that the bottle resembles the dome of St Paul’s cathedral.

This gin also won a Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Awards in 2016.

Our team would recommend that you enjoy this gin with Franklins tonic and a generous pink grapefruit garnish.

If you enjoy the spicier notes, then a Syndrome tonic and star anise garnish bring something very different to this gin.
