Description
Fifty Pounds Gin is named after the Gin Act of 1756. A long story in itself, and certainly worth further research, if you have the time….
Fifty Pounds was launched in 2010, and is made at the Thames Distillery.
Botanicals are steeped in a grain spirit base for 48 hours, and then distilled.
These include juniper, angelica, coriander, liquorice, lemon, orange and grains of paradise.
The gin is produced in batches of approximately 1000 bottles and is a true London Dry.
The bottles are traditional case gin bottles, from an age gone by, and every bottle is numbered and shows the date when it was distilled.
Enjoy with a lemon garnish and premium tonic, such as Fever-Tree.
