Description
Ungava would definitely fall within Elaine, Atlas’ owners, top ten gins!
It’s a delight a truly captures the spirit of the Canadian North.
The gin originates in the Northern frontier, where the vast Canadian Tundra meets icy seas.
Its’ extremely particular aroma can be traced back to six rare botanicals, native only to the arctic region.
These can only be hand picked during the ”fleeting” summer season, and are then infused, using traditional methods.
The land where Ungava’s botanicals originate is home to the Inuit people, and has been for thousands of years.
The botanicals include:
Nordic juniper, wild rose hips, cloudberry, crowberry, artic blend and labrador tea.
It is these, particularly the cloudberry flowers, that give Ungava its’ distinctive sunny hue!
The clear bottle was designed to show off the yellow hue of this gin, and is also evocative of artic ice clarity.
The script around the bottle is written in Inuktitut, the Inuits’ language.
Ungava’s signature pour is with a premium tonic and a grapefruit wedge.
If you like it a little less ”sharp” choose an orange garnish.
