A sweet-savoury gin, which is rather unique! It is a flavourful and fresh small batch distilled London Dry gin with pays homage to Whitby Towns history. It captures the maritime and elemental nature of the town with moorland heather, Yorkshire honey and sugar kelp foraged from Robin Hoods Bay.
Whitby gin is hand distilled in small batches – filled, labeled and packaged by hand. Following the traditional London Gin method, we ensure the highest quality gin is produced in a single pass of the still. Our copper reflux still allows us to capture only the finest alcohol, offering a superior quality product.
The carefully selected botanicals are a mix of the traditional elements including Juniper, coriander seed, citrus peels and Liquorice Root. Along with Heather tip, Yorkshire Moors Honey and Sugar Kelp foraged from Robin Hood Bay.
You may notice a pearlescent glow when tonic or ice is added to this gin. It can go from clear to cloudy because of the flavoursome oils released from our botanicals. This can happen because this gin is not to chill-filter our gin. To do this would remove the oils and in turn reduce the bold flavour.
